I am so glad I hired Dumitru Iancu to do my home inspection in Wetaskiwin. He was very thorough, informative, and customer friendly. He didn't treat me like a client... He treated me like I was one of the family. There was so much I did not know about when it came to a home inspection. I am in the process of purchasing a home and needed an inspection done. Adam from "A Buyers Choice Home Inspections" in the Fredericton area was referred to me. After meeting with Adam upon completion of the inspection, he pointed out a few issues that may need to have some repair down the road. Then pointed out an issue with something that the current owner had gotten repaired. When Adam noticed the fix, he took the time to investigate further and move materials to find rot occurring and the repair not completed properly. If he hadn't of noticed it, the chance of major damage to materials as well as the structure itself would have been looming in my not too distant future. Now the current owners are hiring a contractor to address the issues. Adam also has made recommendations to the contractor on how to do it properly this time.The best part for me is I now have Adam as my advisor should anything arise in the home for as long as I own it. I highly recommend Adam and his team.

We decided to get a home inspection on a newly built home, just to be sure there weren't any major, and unseen issues to deal with, and we didn't think there would be many. Dumitru and A Buyer's Choice Home Inspections did a phenomenal job of checking the entire home with incredible detail. They found all items that needed our attention, as well as other items that might've not been of massive concern, but good to fix as well. They also took the time to explain everything and ensured that we were made aware of what things are important to maintain in a home and why certain items should be fixed more prudently. And then the report they provided was extremely detailed, filled with all the pictures of what needs to be fixed or what needs our attention, as well as plenty of explanation and links to sources that would provide further information and explanations about terminologies as well as how to maintain your home to make it last longer. What can I say about this company. They’re extremely professional, thorough and meticulous with the work the produce. They used specialized equipment to locate an active leak in the ceiling that was not visible to the human eye. They were very honest in everything the looked at items and locations that I as a buyer would not think of looking. They also provided us with information with regards to preventative measures to ensure the longevity of our houses structure. Their report was easy to follow and each photo had an explanation for the issue and colour coated for the severity of the problem found. Over all they were extremely supportive and investigative with how they work and I would 100% recommend them to my family and friends as an inspector. Coming from Ontario I was so happy to have them work for my family and I.

He was able to fit my inspection in on time that worked well for both of us. His associate Judy was also personable and polite, very professional as well.They went thru the inspection very thoroughly and here are some point to note:- Thought the process, the were explanations about what was being inspected and reasons why.- Lots of home owner preventive maintenance tips on how to keep things functional and prevent issues.- Explanations about house construction, for future renovation, and structural considerations.- They bring a set of indoor shoes so they move inside the house worry and keep the house clean.- Very approachable for questions and they are willing to explain in detail.I'd like to add, Dumitru went the extra mile for me with my inspection. There was a certain area of the house that I was concerned about. He took extra time in that area and took extra pictures and explained while I was near by. This is was not considered part of a typical inspection but because he knew it was a concern to me he took the time to look at this area. Dumitru is very detail oriented and provided me with high confidence that the issues which exist at my house were all identified. The house he inspected is only 9 years old, although he made an exhaustive list of deficiencies and recommended maintenance to be performed. I've used alternative inspectors before, which performed an inspection on a 70 year old house and didn't provide as much value (didn't identify a whole lot more than the eye-can-see) as Dumitru did for a much newer house. Dumitru also impressed me as he was explaining a finding then realized he forgot to double check a certain characteristic of the house, and instead of speaking out of his you-know-what to save face, he just immediately went back and checked the issue. Also, its a plus that he's a pretty funny guy to chat to.

This past Saturday Andy did a home inspection for us. He was a very pleasant person to deal with. His attention to detail was impressive. He spent well over 4 hours going through the home from top to bottom. Early into the inspection he found an issue that would cause me to back out of the deal or to reconsider the purchase price and he gave me an option to continue the inspect or end it then. I asked Andy to continued to investigate finding a lot more issues, none of them really noticed when the home was shown to us. We were making a move from ON to NB and were looking for a credible inspector. A Buyers Choice came up in a lot of reviews and by word of mouth referral. Louis was very swift to respond and answer questions. It was a very busy time in the summer but he made himself available extra early in the a.m. after a long weekend knowing that we were flying in. My best advice, stay out of his way! My man has work to do and he is bobbing and weaving throughout the house in every crevice. He was very thorough and provided an in-depth report with tons of well taken photos and explanations. After the inspection he took hist time to do an entire home walk through and pointed out things of priority and suggestions on what could be done. Post the report submission, which was the next day by the way, he still made himself available to answer questions that would pop up.I found out this is Louis' company and he represents it to the fullest. We are SO impressed with the service we received from Louis at a buyer’s choice. While performing the inspection, my sewer line backed up and caused a minor flood in the basement. Louis was quick to grab a mop and help me clean up the mess while I called for a plumber. He also helped remove some flooring where the water was running under and get fans set up to help dry the area. The inspection of my home took a bit longer than expected due to this issue, however he remained professional and completed the job. He made sure to show us exactly what he was inspecting, and gave us great tips and recommendations! I highly recommend using a buyer’s choice when inspecting your home!

Recently had a house inspected by both Brendan and Justin. Two inspectors for the price of one. I came across a buyer's choice through Reddit, they had plenty of excellent reviews and I was not disappointed.I had to rethink about my interest in buying the house after the number of items Brendan and Justin found. They found everything from the smallest items that could be easily overlooked to critical items. The report was meticulous.Afterwards, they were able to give suggestions as to how to fix the items in the report or who to contact.
