We hired Scott Neilson to do a home inspection for a house that we wanted to buy. He was very professional, approachable, detail oriented, and knowledgeable of his job. He answered all my questions and most importantly gave me helpful advice on home safety. We were amaze on how timely and detailed his reports are as well. Scott utilizes modern technology in his work like radon gas detection. We were really happy with his service and will definitely recommend him to others.

Lawrence did an inspection on our home before we sold it and on two homes we were considering buying. We were extremely happy with all of them. Lawrence is exceptionally thorough -- he sees everything and checks everything. He found enough problems with one inspection that we decided not to offer on the home and we would not have found its major problems without his help. When we did buy, his inspection reassured us that we had made the right decision. Most definitely recommended.

Lawrence is an excellent home inspector. He always makes himself available, punctual, and is very thorough when he inspects a property. Lawrence always goes the extra mile to research an item or concern, to make sure our client is getting the best knowledge, and information when they are buying a property. He takes lots of pictures so that the buyer can view any issues that come up after the inspection. He never rushes through to get to his next appointment. I have always been very satisfied with Lawrence's detailed observations, and his willingness to review all issues with the Buyers directly. His report format is written in "Plain English" for easy comprehension. I highly recommend his home inspection service to all of our Buyers. He absolutely takes pride in his work, and it shows. Excellent service and great advice are two qualities I was looking for in a home inspector and Lawrence exceeded my expectations.I purchased my home without an inspection and I felt it was important to schedule an inspection to ensure that there were no major issues and for my peace of mind.I contacted Lawrence based on a recommendation from a neighbour. He called me as soon as he received my request and we scheduled the inspection for the following day.On arrival Lawrence explained how he would conduct the inspection and invited me to follow him around. He welcomed all my questions and patiently took the time to explain what he was looking for and why. He made sure I understood issues that needed to be addressed and helped me prioritize what needs to be done soon and what could be placed on a watch list. He provided a lot of tips on home maintenance.The final report was completed promptly. It was comprehensive and detailed. Lawrence is conscientious and followed up to see if I had questions or concerns with the report. He even provided additional information to support his findings and recommendations.I highly recommend Lawrence. The inspection of our new home was professionally, courteously and informatively done, with all questions asked being answered in a useful way. When there were issues identified with the fireplace, the inspector indicated we was certified to perform a WETT fireplace inspection, and the seller's agent agreed to pay for this to be done at the same time. This was an unplanned bonus from having an inspection done by A Buyer's Choice.

Our inspector, Lawrence, was absolutely amazing during our home inspection. As first time homebuyers we had a lot of questions and he made sure to answer all our questions. Our expectations were largely surpassed. We had Rick Miceli inspect two different homes for us and both times we were blown away by how knowledgeable, thorough and friendly Rick was. As first time homebuyers we were very pleased with how patient Rick was with us and how thorough he was with the inspection, giving full explanations to our questions and concerns. The report Rick sent after the inspection was very much the same, very thorough and accurate with pictures of exactly what the issue is. We recently hired Lawrence from A Buyer's Choice Home Inspections before removing the Home Inspection condition in the offer. We are very very happy with the work done by Lawrence and his colleague. The home structure is a big complex. Lawrence brought along a helper. Lawrence was punctuate, courteous and professional. We were very impressed with his knowledge in the business. Especially he had been on the other side of the hence, doing home reno and contracting for years before becoming a home inspector. He knows all the issues and mistakes the builders and contractors may potentially make, and watch out for you in those areas. Also, he is very balanced in both alerting the clients of the more critical issues, and not making a big deal out of small and easy to fix imperfections. This gives the buyers the comfort of making arguably the biggest purchase decisions in their lives. I'd encourage his clients asking him questions, while Lawrence walks you through the home. You get a lot more from him that way than what shows up in the report, which is already very detailed, balanced and fair. He spotted a few code breaking issues, and discussed with us on potential options to address them. Because of the deadline in the conditional offer, Lawrence even worked through the weekend to deliver the final report. We are very appreciative of that!

I recently purchased my first home, and made use of A Buyer's Choice to get the home inspected. I came into this knowing almost nothing about home ownership, during a very fast-paced and difficult market. The inspector, Scott, was able to come by on short notice (one day after the offer was accepted), and did a very extensive investigation of the property. He also gave me a lot of helpful advice and information about how to tackle some of the issues that were present with the property, phrased in a way that I, with my total lack of experience, could easily understand.The final report I received listed all the issues clearly, and can serve as a todo list for the next while. Given the difficulties of the pandemic, and the current rapid-fire housing market, I am very impressed with how the inspection was done and the final report.

From the moment they arrived they were professional, courteous and well prepared. They were flexible and accommodating during the process. Rick did a few pre-inspections for us and was always very thorough, patient, and helpful. We finally bought a house and had him come and my wife and i couldn't be happier with his services. He really took his time to make sure we understood what the issues were and how to prioritize them, as well as answering a lot of our basic questions in a very knowledgeable but considerate fashion. My wife and i never felt like he was rushing, or that he was talking down to us, and at the end we felt empowered, calm, and much more comfortable; we really can't recommend him enough. My wife and I had two home inspections with Buyer's choice. Both went extremely well and were very thorough. Lawrence showed up to one to give us a quick rundown of fireplace requirements. We mainly dealt with Rick, who was excellent. He always arrived before us to the house and got to work immediately. As we toured the house with him, he showed us everything he was making note of and explained the severity of any problems, as well as the rough cost of repairs, if he knew offhand. Since there was snow outside Rick was very conscientious of his wet boots in the houses. He has a change of shoes for inside, and made sure not to drip on the floors if he needed to carry his boots from the front to back doors. Before going up to the attic he laid down a tarp to catch any insulation that fell. Overall his cleanliness was impressive. After going over the full inspection with us he sent us a copy via email with snapshots of everything and brief description so we essentially had a checklist for when we bought the house.I'd happily recommend Buyer's Choice Home Inspections to anyone who needs an inspection. These guys are very knowledgeable, friendly, clean, and professional.

Lawrence was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and very professional. I couldn't have been happier with a home inspection, especially as a first time buyer. The inspection took place in Feburary, the morning of a snowstorm, out in the country. Lawrence was not late at all. I was provided a nearly 50 page, extremely detailed inspection report the following day. I will definitely be using Lawrence again if I purchase a house.
