I wish to let others know about our experience with Ryan Croft, CPI, and “A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections Nova Scotia West”. This technician performed a home inspection service for us prior to purchasing our home. His inspection resulted in a mini-split issue being repaired at the seller’s cost and basically paid for the inspection. It also yielded a 39 page inspection report which I found full of useful information regarding the systems in our home. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to purchase a home anywhere in the central Nova Scotia area.

We hired Ryan for a comprehensive inspection of a vacation cottage we were considering buying in Nova Scotia. He came highly recommended (deservedly so) by our real estate agent. This is our first time ever purchasing a detached house in a non-urban area and outside the country, so a quality, thorough, and reachable inspector was critical. Ryan provided prompt and clear communication about the inspection components and scheduled the inspection in a timely manner. But the ‘wow’ factor was the report itself and the follow-up conversation! The report was extremely thorough, with pictures and clear descriptions and recommendations for every component of the home. The septic inspection was extremely thorough, including tests, recommendations and clear documentation for every step. The WETT report was thorough and to the letter of the regulations, ensuring there would be no issues obtaining insurance. He also went above and beyond testing and making informal suggestions about other items such as appliances etc. Very importantly for us, he then spent one hour answering our questions and explaining the steps necessary to mitigate any identified issues. He explained the differences between past and current standards, the safety importance of taking certain actions and even provided some practical understanding of living with a well and a septic system, something entirely foreign to us. Ryan remained accessible to us for a variety of other follow-up questions and we simply cannot say enough about his exceptional professional expertise and accessible client service. Thank you Ryan so much for imparting your knowledge and making this decision so much easier!

Our experience with Alicia Cooper, Certified Professional Inspector, and A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections Nova Scotia West was more than satisfactory. They responded immediately to our last-minute decision to have a home inspection in the Windsor, NS area, visiting the property the next morning and providing a detailed report the next day (despite a very minor delay due to a technical-computer issue). The report itself was excellent, well organized, with a succinct summary up front and additional details throughout, supplemented with photographic evidence. I have no hesitation in recommending Alicia and Buyer’s Choice. I would definitely choose them again.

Very thorough inspection. Most don’t even go in the attic they just look from the stairs. But this inspector actually walked up there and inspected everything. Any deficiency was clearly pointed out in a respectful manner. Would use again and recommend.
