There’s a reason Andy has a five star review. If you’re on the fence and hesitant to get an inspection done, I highly suggest taking the plunge. And hire Andy! We have a new build and have been living in our house for just shy of a year. We decided to get the inspection done just to make sure all was good before the 1 year warranty expired. We are so glad we did. Not only was Andy extremely thorough, but he also took the time to explain everything on the spot. This made it so we weren’t so overwhelmed when we got his final report. He gave us tips throughout to help with the maintenance and upkeep of our home as well. Also as seen in the photo, he attached stickers with QR codes throughout our electric room. It’s all in the details and Andy was excellent. He was very patient with our questions and we didn't feel rushed at all. To top it off, he had time to spare between inspections and got us our report right away while he waited for his next clients. Wow, what an incredible first experience with a home inspector! We are very new first time home buyers and Andy made this process a breeze. Could not have asked for a better experience. Janet made booking the appointment process efficient and hassle free which was greatly appreciated! The inspectors arrived ahead of schedule but had no problem catching us up to speed on what they had completed thus far. Colin and Ellis were very knowledgable and friendly walking us through their process at any moment. Whilst providing information on maintenance and future updates I should consider. They throughly reviewed every inch of the unit making notes for a comprehensive breakdown report at the end. They were also able to preform a WETT test on the wood burning fire place which I was very pleased about. We purchased a NB property and we needed a WETT inspection and certification for our new woodstove. When I advised our insurance company that we had installed the stove I didn't realize that the clock would start ticking on their end with regard to our coverage, even though it was summer and we weren't using it until it was inspected anyway.I called a few local inspectors and left messages. Luis Gagnon called back promptly, listened to our situation and even though he does have a busy schedule he booked an appointment to come within a week of our conversation. Definitely recommend this company. We live out of province and they responded to our call immediately even though it was the weekend. They scheduled the appointment with my realtor to do the inspection. I didn't have to do anything it was so nice. The report was sent to me within a couple of hours after paying my invoice. Even though we were out of province and not physically present in Calgary, he made the arrangements to organize the inspection a breeze. And while we had some concerns about not being on site, he coordinated everything through our realtor and the inspection went without a hitch. Brendan and Ben came down to my potential house today and did a very thorough inspection of the place, everything from a drone to look at the roof to thermal and electrical and moisture detection devices to check for insulation and wiring and leak issues. Louis was personable, communicative, professional and thorough. He performed our home inspection, provided a very detailed analysis of his findings (which ultimately saved us money on the deal - bonus!) and spent a great deal of time explaining everything, as well as being available for any questions that arose after the initial review session. We even sent a preliminary list of questions regarding things we were hoping to learn (a few that fell a bit outside of the per view of a standard inspection) and he made sure to have answers to all of them when we met after his visit to the property. Buyers Choice was excellent. They were extremely thorough and informative also respectful and punctual.They checked everything! They were personable and very forthcoming with any questions we asked without us feeling like we were interrupting they seemed actually to enjoy sharing the information. The report came the same night it was 69 pages long. It pointed out a couple things we need to address and even small things we didn’t care about. They use a drone and thermal equipment . They include service from a company that tracks recalls on appliances we own including things like toasters etc. Their follow up is also very good. An email the next day to see if we had any questions and reiterating that we could call them anytime with questions We were very pleased with their work .We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Buyer's Choice Home Inspections came to do our inspection on a house we are looking at buying. They were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. My partner was very curious and asked a lot of questions, and both Jeremy and Dimitru were always willing to answer his questions and help us understand what they were doing, and why. When the inspection was over, they went through their (very detailed) notes with us and let us know what looked great, and what needed attention. Money very well spent. This team of Dumitru & Jeremy inspected a townhouse we had put a offer on. With all their specialize equipment including a drone to look around the entire exterior, they found several issues that would require expensive repairs immediately and in the near future. The infrared camera showed when insulation problems were creating moisture issues in the attic and they identified electrical issues where there was wires that were melting creating a fire hazard. They also pointed out where moisture was getting into the basement through the foundation and what future issues that could create. This team prevented us from walking into a money pit that would have cost us tens of thousands of dollars to fix. I highly recommend using them to protect or reassure you on your next purchase. I know we will be using them again on our next purchase.

I've used home inspectors many times for past home and condo purchases. Compared to all the others I've used, Barry sets the gold standard. He has all the right equipment, such as infrared heat cameras and Radon gas detectors, to do a thorough and professional job. His report was ready for us just a few hours after the completion of the on-site inspection. And something totally unexpected, he even made note of the major appliance models and sent us a report indicating that there were no recalls on those appliances! Buyers choice completed our home inspection for the 15 yr old house we purchased. Price was competitive and Brendan our inspector was thorough and excellent to work with. As part of his service Brendan stated he would make himself available down the road to respond to any issues that arise for as long as we own our home. We had a very Wet spring in Edmonton and our sump pump failed and we discovered 2 leaking cracks in our foundation. I contacted Brendan early in the morning as our sump pump was about to overflow and he immediately came over to solve the issue. He also helped us to solve the foundation issue. Both the sump pump and the cracked foundation was covered by Buyer’s choice three month external warranty. There were some issues with the third party provider when we tried to process the claim on our own. However, Management from Buyer’s choice stepped in and ensured the third party warranty provider honored our warranty. This company will honor its promises and stick with you if you run into any difficulties. When they say they will help you for the lifetime of your home they truly mean it. Professionally run company and a pleasure to deal with.

Barry did a thorough "wellness check" after 10 years of home ownership, because I am a paranoid & unhandy homeowner! He finished his inspection in 3 hours, discussing any trouble spots with us as he went, and e-mailed us the report that evening. The report is easy to read, contains lots of photos, and highlighted areas of concern up front in red font (which I appreciate!). He was available the same week we inquired, showed up on time, provided excellent communication throughout, and offered to follow up with any concerns/advice in the future. 10/10 service!
