We just received our home inspection from Kevin and we cannot state how impressed and pleased we are. I’ve been in the development industry for 30 years and have worked around builders most of my life. Kevin is very thorough and honest in his opinion about what is being looked at and reviewed. We currently live 14 hours away from the home we are looking at and have only seen the place through a video conference call with the realtor so needless to say our desire for someone to provide a true inspection and report on the structural and mechanical components of the home was imperative. Our concerns were answered and nothing too major was reported that we didn’t already expect from a 100 year old home. However he was able to see components that we were not able to through the walk through and he was able to provide the life expectancy of the mechanical equipment that we needed which will set us up for no surprises. We hired this company to do a home inspection, service was great, very in depth inspection (70 pages plus a video) he went above and beyond the normal expectations of an inspector. Unfortunately the house was a total loss, and we couldn’t make a deal. But the inspection showed us what we weren’t seeing. I would gladly pay for 5 more inspections through these guys rather then spend flight fair to view properties constantly. Can’t say anything bad about the price, and speed of service it all went smooth and quickly. However I am now into several major structure repairs, ones which were in plain site. The terrible smell of mould in the bathroom somehow didn’t get mentioned which has turned into replacing an entire section of exterior wall framing. Entire bathroom floor joists and subfloor And exterior rim joist. All this was visible from the basement by simply looking up. Chris had extensive knowledge in electrical but I felt not nearly enough in structural.
