Through these questions we discovered that we really could work well together as we agree on fundamentals of owning a home. Germain mentioned that he would be thorough and it could be overwhelming but this excited me! I’m not buying a home with rose coloured glasses, I know they all need work and wanted someone who would provide me as much detail as possible so I could make a list based on priority and go from there.On inspection day Germain had contacted me early to confirm all was in order and when he would be there. When he showed up he introduced himself, reconfirmed his “style” and then went to inspecting the home.I was amazed with the quality of his inspection, I stayed out of his way, spending my time further investigating my home, when Germain found things of note he mentioned them – this was super nice, I didn’t want to over crowd him while he was working, but having him come let me know of concerning things was such a relief.At the end of the home inspection he gave me a verbal report of his findings and recommendations. He was extremely thorough and we have a fantastic list of “right now” and a 5 year plan for some other items.We have never owned a home, but we own vehicles and understand that investments of this scale require regular maintenance and repair to maintain usefulness and value. As a first time home buyer it is an exciting and thrilling time, but can also be stressful. What you see in a home viewing typically is the potential, but we fail to see or think of any issues. I knew going into this next chapter in life I wanted the process done right. A home inspection was a must, and I’m so thankful to of had Jason conduct one.To be honest, I didn’t know what I was getting with this inspection I just knew I needed it for my own peace of mind to ensure I’m making the right move.Extremely thorough with a user friendly layout and navigation through the report when it was sent. Packed full of photos and even in the photos he took the time to put arrows pointing to a specific item he was discussing about in that section. He even used a drone to capture the state of the roof, gutters and chimney!Video footage was also provided of the septic system which was another surprise yet was thankful for. Like I said, he is extremely thorough. I appreciated the colour coded descriptions and his suggestions of fixes.I highly recommend Jason to anyone. Great stuff. Detailed report. Drone used for upper exterior and roof.I found the report a little hard to follow. When doing a multi unit, it’d be easier to follow in my opinion if it was unit by unit, not all the kitchens, all the electrical.. etc etc.
