Darren Hamilton did the inspection on a house we were considering to purchase in Orillia. He was recommended by a real estate agent we had engaged with. Turns out this fellow knows his craft well. He did a thorough analysis of the house, highlighting green areas, yellow areas, and red areas of concern. Fortunately, the place was in in very good shape, and will require minimal investment to bring it all up to current standards.He was fast but thorough, and within a day had provided us a complete online brochure with all his findings. Heather walked around my home and was able to call out an issue with my roof/skylights before I had a problem. We had multiple roof companies, contractors, and Handy persons coming through, but she was the only one that noticed it. Had the pleasure of having Darren do my home inspection.I honestly at first was expecting maybe 1 hr or 2 hrs MAX of checks but Darren spent a good amount of time (more than 3hrs) checking everything and more. Being a first time home buyer I thought it would be intimidating maybe asking stupid questions; but Darren was very informative and welcomed the inquires which made me feel more at ease.I knew I was going to receive a report in the end but wasn’t expecting his thorough document listing stuff with pictures and details. We contacted Darren at short notice due to the conditions in our purchase agreement, and he offered to complete the inspection on our preferred day and time.
