We had Bruno and Daryl come out to our first potential home, between the two of them they both pointed out things I would have never looked at. Between the two of them, they probably saved us north of $50,000 by the time it would all be fixed. Bruno came to the other house we looked at to carry out his inspection. My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience with Darrell Marshall for our first home inspection! He was very friendly and gave so much tips and suggestions on what to look out for and what we can do the protect the foundation, which parts of the house should be taken care of as soon as possible versus what can be done/would have to be done for potential projects later down the line, and even gave us pointers on how we can replace a sump pump ourselves.After a strange encounter with the potential neighbour, he was able to calm our nerves and gave us a more realistic outlook of the house we looked at together (it also gave us a good laugh by the end of the inspection). Super thorough pre-offer inspection, was able to shed more light on a roofing concern I noticed & pointed out to my buyer’s prior & was completely honest & transparent with my buyer. I contacted A Buyers Choice after getting referred to them by multiple people at the Winnipeg Home Reno show at the convention centre a few weeks ago. Jim took my call and booked my inspection right away (with short notice). On inspection day he was on time and very professional. He took his time to inspect every aspect of the house (inside and outside on a cold day). After the inspection, he took his time and walked me through the house explaining his findings (even though it would all be in his report, which was very detailed and delivered with 24H electronically). A very small price to pay for one of the biggest investments of my life. Definitely recommend Jim and A Buyers Choice.

Shaun showed up and went right to work. It was a horrible day too. Blowing snow and miserable out. He was very thorough. He looked at everything. When he was in the basement, I came down and he proceeded to tell me all his findings. The problems I noticed myself he found and a little more. When he was done, he went over everything. Not just the bad. He told me the good things about the home to. We have decided to purchase this house and make it our home. Shaun was a part of that decision. I love the report. As a handy person myself, I now have a work list to go through once I move in. I would highly recommend this company. Well worth the money. Valuable information.

We hired Shaun and Stephanie on very short notice to inspect a home we had put an offer on. I’ve used 2 different inspection vendors previously, and my experience with A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections was a vast improvement. The inspection was thorough, and they encouraged me to perform my own inspection while they did theirs, noting any questions I might have. During their inspection, they asked me to join them whenever they came across something in the home that warranted explanation. Shaun provided an oral debrief in real-time at the end of the review, highlighting major concerns and providing an opportunity for me to ask my own questions. They emailed a digital copy of their report by the end of that same day, and followed up with another email reminding us to contact them with any subsequent questions. Excellent customer service.
