Jim has been really helpful since I hired him for a home inspection before I bought my house. Even after the inspection he always told me to call him and ask him any questions I want. I have called him twice after inspection while spending at least 20 minutes explaining things I couldn’t figure out in the house as a first-time owner. He also ended by saying I should call him anytime if I have more questions. I don’t think I have had a service provider treat me this well especially after the contracted service at no charge.

Jim goes above and beyond for you. After reading reviews on Google for home inspectors we called A Buyers Choice. After a quick phone conversation with Jim, I knew that I could trust his knowledge and ethic. He carefully inspected every aspect of our home inspection and gave us a home “bible” of all the concerns and maintenance we needed to do. Being first time buyers it was a bit confusing for us, So Jim answered any questions we had after. The new house had some hail damage before we received it. We’re selling our house, and with this Covid pandemic going on, we wanted to make sure that we are safe. I called around to 4 different inspections companies before we found and settled on Jim. He not only listened to our concerns about the virus and our fears of having our home inspected during this time, but he put us to ease by taking the time to explain the process. He went on further to tell us that he uses quality masks and gloves while inspecting, and that should he need to remove the gloves, he disinfects the area immediate, just as a safeguard.During the inspection, he identified a number of issues. Jim is amazing!!! I relocated from Edmonton to Calgary. I called around to a couple of places to get pricing on someone to inspect the home I was purchasing. He was the only one I called who took the time to explain to me what exactly he does and how he is different from all other inspectors. The tone in his voice and his humor completely sold me. I did not have the chance to meet Jim but he did meet up with my realtor to do the inspection. I received an email and phone call from Jim explaining everything to me. He really made me feel good about the purchase I was making. I did call him a couple after as I was having some items installed to my house. He was able to provide me with all the information about the house that the company was asking me about. Jim informed me if i ever needed anything, to give him a call. Well 5 days after I purchase my house the pilot light went out and we had no hot water. Us being 2 women we did not know what to do. I then called Jim and he was over at our house within the hour to help us get the pilot light back on. Without Jim I would have had to pay someone for a 10 minute job. Jim really takes pride in the work he does and does what ever he can to help out his customers. I am very happy that Jim stopped me from hanging up when he provided me with a quote. If it was not for him taking the time to talk to me on our first initial phone call, I dont think I would have received the same type of customer service.Give Jim a call! In October Lloyd Verberg facilitated an inspection of my 107 year old home in reference to Plumbing and Electrical Services which was required by my Agent for the Insurer of the Property.I was told they’d specific fees for tasks so I booked the inspection. On Lloyd’s initiative he called the Agent to ensure all requirements needed would be accomplished. The process was not intrusive and completed the same day. I was provided a complete online report which I forwarded to my Agent the following morning. I had accolades from my Agent and the Insurance provider was totally satisfied.Having a thorough inspection for a reasonable fee by an expert who provided the utmost curtsy to a client was a very pleasant surprise.
