I have nothing but good things to say about A Buyer’s Choice. They were recommended to us by our realtor, and they did not disappoint.Our inspector, Richard, did an extremely thorough inspection of the house inside and out, from attic down to foundation, as well as the garage, and outdoor spaces. He communicated his findings in a way that was easy for an amateur like myself to understand, and was also able to provide more technical answers to my dad’s questions. After he went through the house on his own, he took us around to point out and explain the issues he had identified and what would need to be done to bring the home into compliance with current building code. He provided an extensive written report (same day as inspection) with photos, explanations of what could happen if the problems were not rectified, and recommendations including which trade professionals would need to be be consulted to complete the work safely and correctly.I also really appreciated that Richard was honest when he wasn’t certain about something. He explained why he thought it might be the case, why he couldn’t say with 100% certainty, and who would be able to tell us for sure. This didn’t come up often, because he was very knowledgeable about the properties of different building materials, common features of houses built in the same neighbourhood during that a similar time period, and pitfalls to be aware of based on what he’s seen in other houses.From speaking to friends who have gone with other home inspection companies, they did not get nearly as thorough an inspection as we did. We feel that we’ve saved ourselves a lot of headaches and money by choosing A Buyer’s Choice, and will definitely be using them again in the future.

Really helpful and informative. Was able to do the inspection day after the offer to purchase was accepted. Id recommend them, especially since buying a house is one of the largest purchases a person will make during their life. Also was really nice and able to awnser the questions I had as we walked through the place and he went through his report while showing me things noted in his report.

Met with Richard Adair from A Buyers Choice to review a property we’d made an offer on. He was great, easy to deal, and personable. We walked through as he did his visual inspection. He answered all my questions but his written report afterward was very detailed and thorough. We’re so glad we got the inspection done as his report helped us make the decision NOT to proceed even though we were very interested in this place initially. We’re going to keep hunting and definitely will use Richard and A Buyers Choice again.
