With over 20 years of work in the public sector, Derrick Urbanowski continues to enjoy serving people ensuring they are educated about their prospective new home. Derrick brings extensive knowledge in inspection, auditing and education. Derrick also has a vast background in Health and Safety including hazard assessment and indoor air quality. With over 20 years in home repair, maintenance and renovations experience he understands how homes are built, function and their maintenance needs. Attention to detail and a “Do it right the first time” attitude will ensure your home is Inspected Once and Inspected Right.

Derrick has successfully completed Carson Dunlop’s home inspection course, which is considered the gold standard of home inspections training. He is also an active and certified member of InterNACHI. When he is not performing home inspections, Derrick enjoys spending time with his wife and family outdoors camping, hiking and enjoying the fresh air. I strongly feel that nothing was over looked and his knowledge and quality of work would benefit any buyer to make a confident decision in purchasing there new property. I had an extremely positive experience with Derrick, who assisted me with two separate home inspections in Calgary on a short turnaround basis. As a first-time homebuyer, it was reassuring to have someone as thorough as Derrick to inspect the home and explain deficiencies and maintenance items in a straightforward way. Derrick was always friendly and happy to answer my questions. Derrick sends a detailed inspection report (60+ pages) within a few hours of the inspection. He also provides a recall check report for any potential manufacturer recalls affecting the appliances in your home. Purchasing a home out of Province and with a quick possession date. Derrick did my inspection for me he was great to deal with, Derrick was able to get to my inspection within a few days of me contacting him very quick and accommodating for the quick possession date. Very friendly service with great communication and quick responses providing any information I was looking for prior to inspection, upon Derrick doing my inspection and me receiving the report I was more than satisfied he got me the report the same day of inspection in the evening. The home inspection report was very detailed with pictures Derrick had all the right tools for the job thermal camera etc. and had tons of knowledge and information/suggestions to offer, the report was very in depth and very thorough I am 100% satisfied with the service and report Derrick provided and would say a home buyers choice is a 5/5 star home inspection who I would highly recommend anyone go through when purchasing a home.

Derrick has done several inspections for us. He is very professional, explains his findings very well to the home buyers. He takes his time and is very thorough. The last inspection, he couldn't get into the attic hatch so had to make a second trip to the property after the home owner came home, almost an hour drive away.
