Beyond thrilled by the service we received from Ryan as first-time home buyers in Nova Scotia. I don't think there's any better testament to the standards Ryan sets for his business and inspections than being able to share that when I reached out to explore services offerings and pricing for a potential inspection opportunity (not really have any firm timelines in mind yet as our home search had just begun), Ryan provided swift and detailed follow up to all my fact-finding questions (and all while being out of province and celebrating his honeymoon). That alone was enough for me to say: this is the guy.Come inspection day, Ryan's fabulous customer service in our virtual interactions translated immediately to our now real-world setting. He arrived early to begin review of the exterior of the home, and walked us through all his emerging observations and findings. Inside the home was much of the same. Ryan was tactical and methodical in his approach, running all the critical home systems/appliances to showcase them in functional order. He answered all our questions and more, taking the time to educate us about facets of home ownership that we wouldn't have been tracking otherwise (again, first-time home buyers). He took endless photographic evidence of his findings and shared these (same day) in an incredibly detailed and thorough report (which ultimately helped us in negotiating a price improvement to final sale price, which is always a bonus too).Ryan stands behind his work, and maintained throughout that he thinks of his customers as a life partnership, encouraging us that if we ended up with questions after we moved in or beyond, based on his inspection, he would be always happy to connect with us and further explore.We ended our inspection with Ryan capturing detailed drone footage of the roof and chimney. Although not WETT certified, many of the anecdotal observations Ryan flagged in his report were further echoed in our formal WETT inspection, and we appreciated the sanity check in knowing that things he saw were very aligned with the final observation from our WETT inspector.In addition to a routine home inspection, we opted also to have the garage inspected and to test for elevated radon levels. Both of these additions were value add, as the garage inspection revealed a beginning mold/mildew growth and satisfactory radon results gave us peace of mind that this would not be an immediate concern upon move-in.In all - Ryan was fabulous to work with, and while we're thrilled with our purchase and hope we don't have to move again anytime soon - we would absolutely make Ryan our first call for all our inspection needs, and recommend him to anyone looking for inspections in the HRM.I am so thankful to my working colleague for the referral to Ryan, because the NS home inspection scene seems like the wild west with a wide array of differing skills and abilities (and researching on my own only revealed conflicting narratives, and more questions than answers).Ryan is top notch - and his work, incredible customer service, and strong attention to detail absolutely speaks for itself. You won't regret a call or email to him! :)

Ryan was extremely flexible with scheduling around our vacation and a snowstorm at the last minute.He was very nice, informative, and efficient.He provided so much technical and practical information during the inspection and caught several things such as missing light fixtures, missing air filters for our heat pump, missed sanding jobs, and much more!He explained how the water, heating, and gas systems operated and how to maintain them for long term use.He even scanned for Radon at a much lower rate than others were offering.I HIGHLY recommend Ryan and Buyer's Choice to anyone buying a new home!
