With 16 years of experience as an electrician and 12 years as a Red Seal Journeyman, Derek brings a strong background in the trades and hands-on industry knowledge to home inspections. After owning and operating his own electrical company for six years, he developed a growing interest in the inspection and testing side of the industry, leading him to pursue home inspection as a new challenge and opportunity to expand his expertise.
Derek enjoys helping homebuyers better understand their homes by sharing practical knowledge, maintenance tips, and valuable insights throughout the inspection process. He is also fluent in French, allowing him to assist French-speaking clients when needed.
Derek will be serving the entire Cowichan Valley area including Ladysmith, Duncan, Lake Cowichan, Chemainus, Langford, Nanaimo, Chemainus, Victoria, Port Renfrew, Mill Bay, Langford, Salt Spring Island, and all of the Gulf Islands
