Buyers choice completed our home inspection for the 15 yr old house we purchased. Price was competitive and Brendan our inspector was thorough and excellent to work with. As part of his service Brendan stated he would make himself available down the road to respond to any issues that arise for as long as we own our home. We had a very Wet spring in Edmonton and our sump pump failed and we discovered 2 leaking cracks in our foundation. I contacted Brendan early in the morning as our sump pump was about to overflow and he immediately came over to solve the issue. He also helped us to solve the foundation issue. Both the sump pump and the cracked foundation was covered by Buyer’s choice three month external warranty. There were some issues with the third party provider when we tried to process the claim on our own. However, Management from Buyer’s choice stepped in and ensured the third party warranty provider honored our warranty. This company will honor its promises and stick with you if you run into any difficulties. When they say they will help you for the lifetime of your home they truly mean it. Professionally run company and a pleasure to deal with.

I seldom left comments on Google Review, as far as I know, this is my second review and I want to say "thank you very much Judy and Jeremy for your great work!!". On October 4, Judy and Jeremy inspected the townhouse I want to purchase. They explained many things to me patiently and nicely. My big concern was the cracks on the garage floor. I contacted Jeremy very last minute to inspect a brand new home that I was purchasing. At first I was not going to inspect the new home as its brand new and has a warranty. After speaking with Jeremy and doing some research I thought it was best to hire him for an Inspection. My schedule was tight and both of our timelines were not matching up. Jeremy went above and beyond to make himself available when it worked best for me, and the next day he came out to conduct the inspection on short notice. Jeremy and his partner were thorough, diligent, took their time and were extremely professional. Jeremy and his partner located multiple critical deficiencies and minor cosmetic deficiencies in the home. This inspection paid for its self 10X over plus some. They photographed, marked and documented everything for me. They gave me a list of items to look out for and maintenance items to keep track of. I was able provide the builder with his report and asked them to fix all the items listed. They also checked for Monsters for my daughter, and gave me a Monster Free Guarantee Certificate!! I am in the process of purchasing a home and needed an inspection done. Adam from "A Buyers Choice Home Inspections" in the Fredericton area was referred to me. After meeting with Adam upon completion of the inspection, he pointed out a few issues that may need to have some repair down the road. Then pointed out an issue with something that the current owner had gotten repaired. When Adam noticed the fix, he took the time to investigate further and move materials to find rot occurring and the repair not completed properly. If he hadn't of noticed it, the chance of major damage to materials as well as the structure itself would have been looming in my not too distant future. Now the current owners are hiring a contractor to address the issues. We decided to get a home inspection on a newly built home, just to be sure there weren't any major, and unseen issues to deal with, and we didn't think there would be many. Dumitru and A Buyer's Choice Home Inspections did a phenomenal job of checking the entire home with incredible detail. They found all items that needed our attention, as well as other items that might've not been of massive concern, but good to fix as well. They also took the time to explain everything and ensured that we were made aware of what things are important to maintain in a home and why certain items should be fixed more prudently. What can I say about this company. They’re extremely professional, thorough and meticulous with the work the produce. They used specialized equipment to locate an active leak in the ceiling that was not visible to the human eye. They were very honest in everything the looked at items and locations that I as a buyer would not think of looking. They also provided us with information with regards to preventative measures to ensure the longevity of our houses structure. Their report was easy to follow and each photo had an explanation for the issue and colour coated for the severity of the problem found. Over all they were extremely supportive and investigative with how they work and I would 100% recommend them to my family and friends as an inspector. I got introduced to Dumitru thru my agent. The first thing I noticed about him was he is very accommodating. He tries very hard to find a time that works for you. He was able to fit my inspection in on time that worked well for both of us. A good impression right off the start.When he arrived for the inspection he was bit early which is also good to get ahead start. He's very personable and polite, very professional. His associate Judy was also personable and polite, very professional as well.They went thru the inspection very thoroughly and here are some point to note:- Thought the process, the were explanations about what was being inspected and reasons why.- Lots of home owner preventive maintenance tips on how to keep things functional and prevent issues.- Explanations about house construction, for future renovation, and structural considerations.- They bring a set of indoor shoes so they move inside the house worry and keep the house clean.- Very approachable for questions and they are willing to explain in detail.I'd like to add, Dumitru went the extra mile for me with my inspection. There was a certain area of the house that I was concerned about. He took extra time in that area and took extra pictures and explained while I was near by. This is was not considered part of a typical inspection but because he knew it was a concern to me he took the time to look at this area. For me this was very valuable and I appreciated it greatly.I'm glad Dumitru did my inspection and I'd highly recommend him for your inspection.

Adam was very thorough with his inspection of our first house and provided excellent feedback. Dumitru is very detail oriented and provided me with high confidence that the issues which exist at my house were all identified. The house he inspected is only 9 years old, although he made an exhaustive list of deficiencies and recommended maintenance to be performed. I've used alternative inspectors before, which performed an inspection on a 70 year old house and didn't provide as much value (didn't identify a whole lot more than the eye-can-see) as Dumitru did for a much newer house. Dumitru also impressed me as he was explaining a finding then realized he forgot to double check a certain characteristic of the house, and instead of speaking out of his you-know-what to save face, he just immediately went back and checked the issue. Also, its a plus that he's a pretty funny guy to chat to.

This past Saturday Andy did a home inspection for us. He was a very pleasant person to deal with. His attention to detail was impressive. He spent well over 4 hours going through the home from top to bottom. Early into the inspection he found an issue that would cause me to back out of the deal or to reconsider the purchase price and he gave me an option to continue the inspect or end it then. I asked Andy to continued to investigate finding a lot more issues, none of them really noticed when the home was shown to us. When he was unsure of a few issues he reached out to other professionals sharing pictures and asking questions so the he could pass on information to us.Andy was very helpful and answered all our questions and concerns. I had Adam do a quick walkthrough inspection for me on a property I was considering buying. Even though it wasn't a full inspection, Adam was incredibly thorough and quick and informed me of a lot of things within the short half hour he had. Super easy to talk to, makes it really easy to understand what you'll need done, and makes sure you know what is a real bad thing you'll need to fix, and what's just a minor issue (though still an issue.)

Louis was polite and professional. He was meticulous and thorough in his report and easy to talk to. He provided me with extremely detailed flaws and faults in the house that may have gone unnoticed by other inspectors (this is my 3rd home purchase). His response time is superfast. The turnaround time for the report was under 24 hours, and he would always be available to answer any questions I had within the hour. He was courteous and down to earth , and provided me a list of certified technicians for all of my future quotes and home upgrades.
